Permission Auditor is a local Chrome extension permission audit tool.

Information the Extension Reads

Permission Auditor uses Chrome's management API to read metadata about installed Chrome extensions, including extension names, enabled or disabled status, declared API permissions, and declared host permissions.

This information is used only to render the local permission audit inside the extension popup.

Information We Collect

We do not collect user data.

Permission Auditor does not collect, store, transmit, sell, share, or upload installed extension metadata or any other user information.

The extension does not request host permissions or <all_urls>.

Network Activity

Permission Auditor does not make external network requests.

The extension contains no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, ads, remote scripts, remote fonts, or third-party SDKs.

Data Sharing

We do not share user data because we do not collect user data.

Limited Use

Any information read through Chrome extension APIs is used only to provide Permission Auditor's single purpose: showing a local permission audit of installed Chrome extensions. The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Retention

Permission Auditor does not retain user data. The permission audit is generated locally when the popup is opened.

Security

Because Permission Auditor does not transmit or store user data, there is no remote data storage or server-side processing.

Changes to This Policy

If the extension's behavior changes in the future, this privacy policy will be updated before release.
